Day 2:
Okay so I was filled with ideas for screen printing an I came across Lotta a very inspiring block print designer. The best part about her work is that she is a self taught artist yes you heard that right.
I started searching out for her work and than came across ways i could become the second Lotta of my world that is Pakistan.
Sadly the block printing business has long been ignored in the textile world since the introduction of wild and crazy filled designs. That's what I call them anyways I always had a deep love for block printing.
I need to meet this block print artist who lives nearby my place. In fact I might pursue him to teach me a skill or two. The above shared picture is not mine but an inspiration an idea , or a design that I might like doing with my fabric. They say Jaipur is famous for Block printing. Why cant we advertise and make our city the block printing Hub. I've seen many textile designers aiming for Jaipur.
Baah!,.. I need to dig in more with this Block printing I even have to scrunch through the famous Blocked brand of Afsheen Numair her work is pretty good and I like her cuts. Too much of block printing talks going on meanwhile my 10 month old runs after the jingling ball that never stops to amaze him. Happiness in small things , love love my second day
